Introduction

In my life I have always wanted to do many things actually, I have many dreams and many goals to accomplish.

With the passage of time, the dreams we have always had and we forget that we can´t do it, we cease to trust us, we become realistic without ideals. We become a product, in a job , in figures , economy, belongings and forget the things that really one day want to get to get , which is why I always have in mind the aims and goals of my life because I feel that I can again believe , dream and create my future as I wish.

If you ask me about the things I want to do before I die, I have a clear response to that, besides wanting graduating, traveling, having professional and economic success, have a family etc. I have a special purpose in my life and this includes my mom. You ask why, and it's simple.

From my three years old, my mom has lived in Holland, across the world, working hard to give us all my brothers and me. And I want us to live together, I want you to return to Barranquilla and give everything she has given me, or at least try because it was a lot.

So my goal would be: Bring back my mom, give you peace, economic stability, health care and take it.

I've done to get it?

Having clear goals and get organized my to accomplish what I want.

What am I doing to get it?

Study, through my study I will get a professional degree and through this I know I can get a good job and start having a good income, and in this way begin to save and help my mom to have less expenses.

Hare in the future to get it?

Work hard; generate good income to save more and to fulfill what I have proposed.

I know this is a long term goal, but I know I 'm getting a lot of effort.

...has always felt that there was something missing in my life. I tried many different things like learn how to knit or exercise, but still there was something missing. Until one day I felt unhappy about my job I felt that I can do but of course I wanted to get paid. About five years ago I decided that I wanted to further my education so that I can make more money and be able to live comfortably instead of check by check. But for some reason every time I tried to enroll something came up. This past weekend I decided I’d go for it without giving it a second thought and here I am. I spoke to my family about it after I enrolled and was amazed at the response I received my husband said “Go for it babe” my children said (at the same time) “Go mom”. I felt good about my decision. With a college education I know I will reach my goal. I currently work at a Children’s Rehabilitation Center I am the Senior Front Desk Manager there but I am more than positive that I can make this place run much better than how it is now. I realized that every time I mention an idea to my boss she makes the changes and she’s glorified for it. I learned to keep my ideas to myself get my education and take her job. My goal is to be able to make positive changes in my life in its totality with a college education I can make more money and be able to live comfortably. I would like to one day own a home and a vehicle, I would like to take yearly vacations with my family, and I would like to see the world. Mr.......

About Me for My Whole Life and Wish ~ Good Job Man

...Gun is a weapon that can be used to reduce crime or violence, but can be used to perpetuate, violence and crime. It is true that guns do not do true shooting percentage: People do shoot. It is the person who owns the gun and injuries; we should be worried about intentions. The pride of a man with a gun, so that he or she can actually impose his or her will upon others. This aspect is what is dangerous to legalize guns, because guns are in the hands of the wrong people, crime and violence settings. I do not think people should be able to own a firearm possession of a firearm, because it will cause more problems than it solves. It has been proven time and time again to enjoy strict gun laws and low rates of violent crime country. In addition, people who own guns to protect often due to the accidental killing of their friends and family, and the children often have loaded guns, they found that playing at home, accidentally. People say, "When the gun ban only outlaws will have guns," but while in Japan and other countries, criminals have guns, they usually only use them fight among themselves. Ordinary citizens’ gun deaths are extremely rare. There is no reason to have a gun when you have a police force and army. The second revision of the constitution, there is no police force and no standing army. We do not need a second amendment right now. "Constitution" expressly provides that possession of a firearm in the United States is intended to enable the public to form a militia...

My Life

...My Life As I Know It 3 As I sit here and think about what to write down on this paper, I came to the conclusion that everyone has their own perspective on what their life was like. My life was no where perfect. I lived in a home with one parent, my life was a struggle. However, as I grown as an adult I have learned the importance of a good education and being a positive, supportive parent to my children as my mother was with me. My mother was a hard working parent, raising three children all on her own. My dad walked out of our life when I was 7 years old. My mom would struggle to make end meet, she only made $250 a week, that wasn’t enough to feed a family of four and pay bills as well. But, she was a strong woman; she didn’t let that stop her, my mother picked up another job to help us get by. There were many of times we hardly ever saw my mother, my oldest brother Ricky who was 11 years old at the time, help my mother out by watching me and my little brother while she worked. I can remember it like yesterday, before she would leave for work, she would call us down to the table and say “make sure you eat all your food before leaving today, because a starving brain will not function properly. Today I make sure I send my children off to school with a good breakfast and positive message each morning to start their day out right. To me it’s important to stay positive because when children see and hear positive thing they tend to be positive as well. Some of the......

Gunshots in the middle of the night from robbers, rape, illiteracy, crime, drugs, and prostitution were amongst the issues I grew within on a daily basis. I had bad and good friends. My parents had instilled in me a strong education mind set, so I knew education was going to be the key to my success. ...didn't evennotice.                                        My sky became cloudy and Mytears were the rain.  I love you!  Oh, if you'd only listen. I really love you! I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the blue sky. The wind whispers My love throughout the treetops and spills it into the vibrant colors of the flowers.   I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and composed love songs for birds to sing for you. I warm you with the clothing of My sunshine and perfume the air with nature's sweet scent.  My love for you is deeper than the ocean and greaterthan any need in  your heart. If you'd only realize how I care.  I died just for you. My Dad sends His love.  I want you to meet Him. He cares, too. Fathers are just that way.                                         So please call Me soon.  No matter how long it takes, I'll wait because I love you.                                                                                   Your Friend,                                                         Jesus Friday morning (September 17, 1999) I was reading the paper and noticed Darrell Scott (father of Rachel Scott, a student who was killed at Columbine High School) was coming to speak Sunday afternoon at Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville. About Life

...among students is “Essay about Life” where every student tries to describe his/her life, problems, priorities and outlooks. To write a good essay about life one should be able to reflect a little, to release his/her mind from other thoughts and to start writing an essay on life. Here’s a sample essay about life written by one of our professional essay writers: “Life is beautiful and yet life is not a bed of roses. Though it is full of ups and downs it has many facets of blessings and successes. To some people, life is hard, cruel and merciless. These set of people see life as punishment throughout their entire lives. They therefore resigned themselves to fate, believing all is finished. To them, nothing that they do can ever be good. They take delight in committing crimes and maiming others to avenge their ill-fortune. They lost every sense of direction and most times, some of them go as far as committing suicide, just to escape the injustice life has meted out to them. But there are those who see life as a challenge, a channel of discovery and innovation, a prospect for success and a gateway to wealth. To them life is sweet, colourful and kind. No matter the situation these people find themselves, they keep pressing on, believing in a cause, a cause to succeed and get the most out of life. No wonder an adage says, “Where there is life, there is hope.” The will to succeed or fail lies within an individual jurisdiction. You can live life to the fullest with......

My Life

...Ahmed Al-Matari Professor Marine English 111 October 30th, 14 Personal Narrative Life is all about making choices, but some of them can even change our life. Four years ago, I walked out the Washington Dulles International Airport for the first time. This was a significant event that changed everything about my life and me. Although leaving Saudi Arabia was a tough decision to make, I knew I would be leaving my family, my homeland, and my friends to go to a far-away place to seek for a better life. My parents supported my decision because they believe life is wonderful and the world was big. Arriving in a new country was exciting and discomforting. America is a wonderful place to live, which is full of adventure and challenge. I was highly fascinated by the Western culture. Although I lived in a westernized household and grew up in international schools, I learned English since I was a child. However, my writing and oral abilities tend not to be adequate. I had to study hard to improve my English, so that I can understand the people and the language more. Since I came to America, I made great progress not only foreign language but also adaptive capacity. I believe the most significant part of my life is when I was able to cope with the social differences I faced in two different countries. The most important social differences that affected me and made me who I am today are family, religion, and gender equality. Family is one of the most important parts of Arab......

About Life

...these choices or action we do on a daily basis has responsibilities that follows it. Personal responsibility means holding yourself accountable for you own actions; in the interest of your life and the direction you are headed. Failure to complete an assignment. By accepting the fact that the assignment was not complete because of your own negligence, is an example of self-accountability. Personal responsibility also means discipline, having the intestinal fortitude to do what needs to be done even when you do not feel like it. Staying focused on the tasks at hand and by not being easily distracted by thing of less importance shows discipline. As we grow older and move on with our lives. Our responsibilities are going to change. A lot of times we are going to add more and more responsibilities, especially when you have your own family. When you are responsible for not just your self but also an entire family, especially if you are the head of the household as the husband or father you really have to think of the outcome of the choices you are going to make. An example would be my life. Recently I have had a lot things change when I moved in with my fiancé and her daughter. Every choice I have now has to involve them because they live under my roof and my care. If I make the wrong choice about anything especially making the wrong financial choice we can easily end up living on the streets and that’s one thing I do not......

My Life

...My life of 34 years, have been filled with love, happiness, trusting friendships, and a little disappointment from myself. Growing up I had an imagination incorporated with dreams and the feeling that one day I will make a difference to people. I did not want to be famous, however, I had a groaning from inside that I will be important. My journey has taken me on many trips, befriended many, and accomplished some things I was ok with. In this brief summary of my life I will give great tribute to a humanistic psychologist named Abraham Maslow. When I read about him in my psychology class at Olive Harvey College when I was twenty years old his theory was interesting but was not understood at that time in my life. It was not until I was 33, enrolled in a beginners psychology course at Chicago state university, I finally payed attention to his theory of life. The self- actualization stage was where I was at in my life; this feeling inside me was the desire to full my life to its full potential. Becoming all I can be. I had a house, I bought on my own, a job at the University of Chicago for twelve years, and a well rounded well behaved daughter. That was not good enough. My thought was what’s a house? what’s a job? I can be more than a phlebotomist with an associate’s degree in child development. There have been many people who have shaped me thinking and the way I view the world. My mother was my primary caregiver .she married my father, unfortunately, was separated from him......

My Life

...me I was about to face the biggest obstacle of my life, which also happens to be so central to my identity now. A perfect family, parents who provide unconditional love and acceptance, safety in one’s home-all of these things are expectations of society and outsiders often think that my success must stem from these things, but I know this is not always the case. Rejected by my family, I have found the strength to stay true to myself, complete my rigorous secondary education with honors, and remain resilient despite the hardships I have faced. My whole life it has been evident, although sometimes not always to me, that I was different. As I grew older, I began to realize what was ‘different’ about me. Something so small and miniscule in my eyes seemed to bother other immensely. Ironically enough this measly thing was something, I felt, I couldn’t discuss with any one, not even my own mother. I bit my tongue and endured through the physical pain of boys shoving me down in the dirt, the emotional pain of the name calling which seemed to hurt more, and worst of all the pain of hiding who I am from my friends and my family. So everyday in school was a battle, I became introverted due to the pain stricken within me by other students. I didn’t want to tell anybody how I felt and I wasn’t able to focus in my classes without worrying about someone trying to poke fun at me for who I am, which drastically effected my grades. When I received my progress report and saw my grades, I...

...Jordan Hollingsworth Professor Appling English 1102 28 February 2016 Paper on Simon J. Ortiz “(My Father’s Song) A poem is a set up of words out together into a piece of writing that partakes of the nature of both speech and song that is nearly always rhythmical, usually metaphorical, and often exhibits such formal elements as meter, rhyme, and stanza structure. In the poem written by Simon J. Ortiz is a very touch poem about ones father and how he misses him dearly. He recalls a memory they had once shared together. The next poem that will be laid out and made more clearer to the viewer will be a poem about a mans father and his hard work. My Life

...Throughout my whole life I’ve learned that not everything is rainbows and butterflies. I’ve learned that whatever I do in my life it will never be good enough for my parents. The day of my graduation, I didn’t really feel like going but my parents made me. I had my whole entire family there, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma, grandpa and of course my siblings and parents. Driving up to my graduation was pretty nerve racking, I kept thinking to myself what if I fall down during my walk across the stage, but thankfully I didn’t. while I was sitting there waiting for my principle and all the valedictorians to stop talking; it was finally my turn to walk across the stage and for a minute I looked at all my family members so they can take a picture and I thought that for once they were proud of me. I have accomplished the impossible, according to them. I was excited to be done with the torture chamber of being high school, as I said bye to “my so called friends” I was glad I wasn’t going to see them anymore, the only friend I had was just my best gay friend. After my graduation was over; I meet my whole entire family outside to take pictures and celebrate what I thought was something they would be proud of. My parents didn’t even say congratulations to me. For a minute I was dumb enough to think everything will change. They told me I needed to graduate with my class and I tried my hardest to achieve that so they could be proud of me; I attended night school classes all my......

My Fear of Public Speaking

...thought of having to step in front of my peers and give a speech. Speaking in front of a crowd is my fear. I can just imagine it standing there, jabbering. Thinking about it makes me sweat and afraid. When my teacher announced that we have to present our essays, I was consumed with worry and dread ever since that day. I feel a nervous excitement at the thought; I won’t have to deal with it after today. Seating at my desk, I fantasize about elaborate ways of escaping. Build a time machine and travel past the day of January 28th, second period or hypnotize Mrs. Smith my English teacher to forget me. Some of my anxiety is calmed as I fantasize, until I awake. Flung back into cold hard reality. I see David my class mate heading back to his seat. Oh how I envy him, I want to be him. Born and raised with his native tongue of English he has no problem speaking fluently, even in front of the class. Here I am the foreigner sitting in my first ever English class ready to explode. Mrs. Smith congratulates him on his paper. She then starts to look around. At this moment, I try to make myself look as small as mouse, avoid eye contact at all cost and imagine myself invisible. I’m busted. “Key RO Bell” Mrs. Stanly murders my beautiful name and I hate her for it. Not that I ever cared if people mispronounced my name but now it’s different. My heart is beating fast, as I nod in response. I can hear it loud in my ear. I looked to see if anyone else heard it. My neighbor, nope he looked to......

A Little About My Life

...Ohio to Corbin, Kentucky to take care of my grandfather. I ended up dropping out of school at the end of my junior year, at the age of seventeen due to the circumstances. After awhile, I decided to move back home and sought out a way to get my high school diploma, which I managed to obtain through an online high school based out of Columbus, Ohio at the age of twenty. I liked a variety of things about school, never really disliked anything. The only thing I found to be challenging was to have to sit in a classroom with several other students, I never could stay focused. That’s why I love the fact that I can farther my education online. I don’t really have a career history because I have only worked one serious job. That would be in a retail store called Kroger as a Customer Service Helper/Representative. I had many duties such as: Floor Supervisor, basic accounting, running a register, answering phones, and many more. I loved my job I had there, especially my customers that always found a way to keep my days going and grinning big. With my degree, I plan to one day be able to open my own day care facility with a nursing station and head start. But I still have a long ways to go before that day comes. As of now, I have some spare time on my hands with being unemployed. I love not having a job to earn money because I am a first and full time mommy and housewife. I enjoy spending every second of the day with my baby boy, Bailey, which will be......
