Overall, would you say you are highly satisfied, moderately satisfied, or dissatisfied with your communication in interpersonal situations? Explain your answer by describing your communicative behavior in a recent interpersonal situation.

In order to have a moderate satisfaction when having an interpersonal conversation with another person is always listening effectively, being respectful, and avoiding being stupid. In many situations you will learn to interpret the situation different categories, depends on who are having an interpersonal communication. With friends you don't hold as much respect as you would with an elderly person in their 60st. When having a conversation with someone you don't know very well you temp to be more polite because you don't know the way they will react to the way you may answer, it also depends on the situation.

Just the other day i was having a pleasant evening at starbucks. My best friend calls out of the blue, asking "if she could see me right away because it was extremely important". My reaction was "sure, i'm here at starbucks you are more that welcome to join me and chat about your urgency" . Fifteen minutes later she was joining me for a cup of coffee. She began with expressing herself how deeply sad she was in her heart. I began asking why, what can i do to help? she proceeded to explaining me about the many medical problems her grandmother had. Her grandmother had a long struggle with cancer and melancholia problems ever since her grand father passed away several years ago. Every word she said I did nothing but listen patiently, effectively looking at her in eyes making eye contact and nodding to her explanations. I avoided jumping to conclusions, making premature judgments, comparisons when she was explaining the medical…...

People are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. Use specific reasons to support your answer. TOEFL Independent Writing 6: Topic List 122 (不限时完整版) Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. Use specific reasons to support your answer. It is universally recognized that people should be satisfied sometimes, they shouldn't be avaricious. Tracing the hidden reasons, this is probably because some people failed their dreams and think accomplishing the goal is impossible for everybody. With the negative impacts of this idea, the human beings cannot develop forward anymore. Whatever, I think the phenomenon that people are never well-pleased with what they have and always pursue something better has to be admitted. By this I mean that people are never satisfied in their daily life. They may have something, but when they see newer things that give them the same function, they will buy again. Also, if they have some kind of thing, and they realize that there are better things in this aspect, they will buy the better ones and throw their older one away. Every year, Apple Inc pose their new iPhone, and then millions of people in the world buy it, many of them have an iPhone, say iPhone 5, and it performances very...

Critique of Acute Affective Response to a Moderate-Intensity Exercise Stimulus Predicts Physical Activity Participation 6 and 12 Months Later

...David M. Williams, Shira Dunsiger, Joseph T. Ciccolo, Beth A. Lewis, Anna E. Albrecht, and Bess H. Marcus Psychol Sport Exerc. 2008 May ; 9(3): 231–245. doi:10.1016/j.psychsport.2007.04.002. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2390920/pdf/nihms42341.pdf The purpose of the study was to see if there is a connection between a person’s emotional response to moderate physical exertion and their likelihood of that person continuing to be an active person later. The study was conducted using mostly white female participants who were considered to be sedentary. They were given a grading scale by which to quantitatively express their personal sensation as well as their level of perceived exertion. The participants were placed on a treadmill and worked until their heart rate was 65% of the target rate for each participant according to age. They were then surveyed 6 and 12 months later. The study found that participant who had a positive response to the original bout of physical activity were more likely to be physically active 6 and 12 months later. The authors acknowledged many limitations of this study such as small sample size and the use of age predicted heart rate expectations. The use of a survey may lead to sketchy results also. The results and the discussion were consistent due to the fact that the authors made no wide spread claims resulting from the data acquired during this study. This study implies to me that if physical activity was more fun and less......

...Ben Solver Ms. Margaret Munley Introduction to Microeconomics 24 February 2014 China: Can the Dragon be Satisfied China’s open reform period is characterized as one without a blueprint, but by ‘groping for stones to cross the river’, based on an incremental, gradualist approach to reformation (Lee). China is still a developing country with pockets of industry in different regions. While China may relishe in the fruits of its labor, there is an increasing disparity between the urban and rural areas due to this disequilibrium of development. China’s presence on the world stage has drastically increased since 2001 when China joined the World Trade Organization, in essence opening their borders and has left many researchers perplexed about the consequences of its rise. There exists a plethora of studies, debating whether China’s current path is one that is headed to the top, or whether China is at the peak of its development with looming declines in the near future, plagued by weak institutional reforms. While there are many features that characterize China’s direction, China is growing in its demand for products from around the world and its industrial side has been growing but at the same time increasing how fragile our world economy is (Badinger). Due to past and current monetary problems in different regions of the world and a shift in the location of manufacturing could pose future concerns to the emerging Dragon. China’s cheap labor has been a prominent economic......

Moderate-Intensity Exercise and Its Reduction of Chronic Stress Burnout in College Women Who Perform No Regular Physical Activity

...Tyler Anderson Dr. Kirk Exercise Physiology Sunday, December 4, 2011 Moderate-Intensity Exercise and its Reduction of Chronic Stress Burnout in College Women who Perform no Regular Physical Activity Introduction: If you were to go out and ask 12 random people on the street what their definition of stress was, you would more than likely get 12 different answers. This is due to the fact that there is not a definition of stress that everyone can agree on. In 1936, Hans Selye coined the term stress, defining it as “the non-specific response of the body to any demand for change” (“Stress, Definition”). Stress can cause a multitude of cognitive, emotional, physical, and behavioral effects on the human body: memory problems, depression or general unhappiness, chest pain and rapid heartbeat, procrastinating or neglecting responsibilities. One of the most common activities utilized to reduce stress is aerobic exercise. Exercise increases blood flow that will bring additional nutrients and oxygen to the brain to allow for better cognitive function. Exercise will also release endorphins that can give the individual a feeling of happiness and positively affect your sense of well-being. The transition from a high school to a college environment can place substantial demand of change on the body. Students go from living in the comfort of their homes to the cramped space of a dorm room. Students will also experience demands of having a load and level of homework they......

Job Satisfaction

...satisfaction as a pleasing or positive emotional state resulting from the evaluation of a person’s job. Job satisfaction is also defined as an individual’s general attitude regarding his or her job (Robbins). Mullins mentioned that motivation is closely related to job satisfaction. Various factors such as an employee’ s needs and desires, social relationships, style and quality of management, job design, compensation, working conditions, perceived long range opportunities, and perceived opportunities elsewhere are considered to be the determinants of job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant influence on employees’ organizational commitment, turnover, absenteeism, tardiness, accidents, and grievances. According to Robbins, a satisfied workforce can increase organizational productivity through less distraction caused by absenteeism or turnover, few incidences of destructive behavior, and low medical costs. Public university: The term "public" indicates that the university's funding comes partly from state taxpayers. A public university is a university that is predominantly funded by public means through a national or sub national government. So, public Universities are the Government’s Universities. Generally, public universities are funded by the Government and are governed as self-managed institutions. Private University: The term "private" simply means that the university's funding comes from tuition, investments and private donors, not from taxpayers.......
