ANGELO’S PIZZA
INTRODUCTION
This is a case of an entrepreneur Angelo Camero, brought up in Bronx, New York. He often spent hours at pizza store business observing them, their procedures and finally after the graduation with majors in marketing started his own business, Angelo’s Pizza store, providing a clean environment, taste and quality in pizza. In the 5 years of business, he expanded it to 3 more stores. He hired different managers to run the business there and trained them as they were first working under his supervision at pioneer branch. He was facing the problems of human resource management. He was having no training program for the store managers how to run the store. Finding the competent employees for small business was the real problem of that time. Giant firms outsource the basic operations of the business while the small business like Angelo’s pizza cannot afford it. There was also a problem of the employee theft in the small business. Along with these basic issues there was another issue that his employee turnover was very high. One of his employee stole his idea and formulate a pizza shop as it was planned by Angelo. Other problem lies in the wages of the employees, their behavior on job and the honesty and flexibility about switching the jobs. QUESTIONS
